P.O.P Trainer
Laparoscopic surgery requires the surgeon to have specific skills which are different from those required in open surgery. Hence, psychomotor and surgical skills can be trained on the POP-Trainer for the improving and mastering of these skills without any time limitations
Remote handling of instruments with tactile feedback
Adequate hand-eye coordination
Fine motor skills to deal with fulcrum effect and the lever forces of long instruments
Suturing, clipping , knot tying and cutting skills
Tissue management
Team training and complication management
Standard and advanced laparoscopic operation procedures
Prepare the POP-Trainer, please follow procedures in our instruction manual and insert trocar and instruments.
Position of camera and instruments according to the exercises as prescribed.
Start your operation procedure under mentorship.
P.O.P for hands-on-training in laparoscopic urology
Such as partial nephrectomy, total nephrectomy, and pyeloplasty.
Endoscopic managing of urolithiasis.
Use of various guide-wires, baskets and intracorporeal lithotripters is possible on the P.O.P.
Basic and Advanced Laparoscopic Urological Skills training on the POP have been offered by the European School of Urology since 2008.
